Why the gold coating matters
Think of a standard quartz lamp like a lightbulb that throws heat in every direction. A lot of that energy just disappears into the back of your machine. We fix that by adding a thin layer of gold to the back of the tube. It acts like a mirror, bouncing all that infrared energy forward right onto your workpiece. The result? The nuts and bolts
We build these to your exact voltage and wattage. If you’re doing PET blowing or glass forming, you probably need those heavy hitters—the 2000W+ tubes. **But a quick heads-up:**those high-wattage lamps pull a lot of juice. Double-check your transformers and wiring before you plug them in. You don’t want to fry your power supply just because the lamp is too powerful for the cables. As for the build, we use high-purity quartz glass. It can take a beating from thermal shock without cracking. We also offer R7s or Sk15 bases. We make them as drop-in replacements, so you can just swap them out without having to rewire your entire housing.
How we get it done fast
When you’re in an emergency, we don’t have time for fluff. We just need the facts: length, voltage, wattage, and the connector type. Once we have that, we go straight to the bench. We tweak the filament length and coil density until the temperature profile is exactly where you need it. One last thing—and this is important. Gold-coated lamps are incredibly sensitive. If you touch the quartz with your bare hands, the oils from your skin create hotspots. Those hotspots can cause the glass to crack the moment it heats up. We ship them in protective sleeves.
